Claire Buckley
An environmental expert with over 15 years’ experience where She has worked with organisations in the EU and UK to understand their environmental impacts and improve environmental performance. Claire’s experience includes 2.5 years as Environmental Manager at Guardian News & Media and three years as lead EMS consultant for the European Commission in Brussels. She has also worked on training and EMS in a range of small and large organisations in Europe and developed a range of practical environmental tools for SMEs, including most recently for SME members of Intellect, the UK technology trade association. Claire’s key areas of expertise are environmental management systems (ISO 14001 and EMAS – the Eco-Management and Audit Scheme), Carbon Footprinting and reduction, green procurement, green IT, employee engagement and environmental reporting. Her strength lies in her ability to bring people, ideas and organisational requirements together to create an understanding of the environmental issues and develop plans, teams etc. to address them. Claire is also an associate member of the Institute for Environmental Management and Assessment (A.I.E.M.A.). |
